Matt Ryan's Legacy?

As an admitted Falcons fan, I'm not unbiased on this subject.  What is Matt Ryan's Falcons legacy thus far?  Can he win the "big game"?  The answer's to these questions vary based on your sources.  The talking heads at a certain four letter network seem to think that Ryan and the Falcons can't win the big one.  They point at losses in the Playoffs.  Afterall, playoff wins form legacies.  Right?

Realize this.  Tim Tebow's last two starts include two playoff games, one of which he won (he has more playoff wins as a Bronco than Peyton Manning).  Yet, its unlikely that Tim will ever start in the NFL again.  Wait a minute, I thought winning in the playoffs was the stuff of legends...

Another point, the Falcons have played well enough two of the past three seasons to earn a first round playoff bye.  What does that have to do with this conversation?  By dominating the league during the regular season, Ryan did not get the chance to play a Washington team with a one legged quarterback or a Minnesota team starting their back-up for the first time all season.  Russell Wilson and Seahawks had to play their hearts out against a gimpy quarterback, made a second half comeback just to get WHERE THE FALCONS ALREADY ARE!

Give Ryan and Falcons some credit.  They've made it past the first round of the playoffs a few times without even winning.  This season they went 13-3 including wins against the Broncos, Washington, and the mighty Giants.  We'll see what happens today.  Hopefully the Falcon's will win and get that pesky (undeserved) monkey off their back!

Go Falcons!

Bad Santa

I was going through some old Christmas photos this weeknd and found these classics!  My favorite Bad Santa pics ever.  I love how Santa's face quickly goes from concern over a scared little girl to, "seriously Dad, are you going to take care of this?"
We're off to a rough start...

Santa looks pretty concerned
Seriously?
Alone time with Santa!

Newbie

Well, 2012 is nearly finished and I've decided to see what it's like to write a blog.  It's never too late to learn something new... right?  While I'm at it, here are some cute pictures of the kids mailing their Christmas lists to Santa.
